Between April and September there were 11 incidents of GBH, 49 cases of ABH, 5 incidents of sexual assault including 3 allegations of rape, and 2 cases of murder or attempted murder (incident in GlenPark Court in Felix Road). Most serious violence is up from 9 to 14 this year. Assault with injury is up from 52 to 59.

PC Darren Evans has joined the team following PC Rob John’s move to CID.

One of the main issues discussed at the meeting was drug dealing on the Green Man Lane estate in West Ealing. Security in one of the blocks has been compromised and a gang of around 15 males are now using and dealing drugs from the block. A rough sleeper has also been stabbed on the estate.  The council is now planning a partnership day with the local police in early November to tackle some of the problems raised at the meeting.

In 2010/11, the Elthorne Safer Neighbourhood Police team made 115 arrests, in 2011/12 there were 150 arrests and in 2012/13 there have been 37 arrests.

The ward priorities for Elthorne agreed at the meeting were drug dealing in the Green Man Lane estate, street drinking in St Mellitus church garden, and residential burglary.

The Labour Councillor attended the meeting but once again there was no sign of the Tory councillor for Elthorne. The next meeting of the panel is planned for Janaury 31st 2013.
